Over the past few days, my Cyber Monday packages have been slowly coming in (luckily, just in time for my trip, too!) To be honest, I didn’t go too crazy on all the deals because this being my first year as a Freelance Content Creator, I’ve been trying my best to budget my spending! I also figured that my closet needed a Fall/Winter revamp because believe it or not, it’s been months since my last clothing purchase! Plus, it’s always good to treat yourself once in awhile. If you’re interested in anything that I mention in this post, I’ll be sure to link each item at the end!

The first place I shopped at was Zara for 30% off their entire collection. I only ended up getting one thing, though, which was this mesh long sleeve star patterned top. I’ve been on the hunt for something like this for the longest time and with the Holidays coming up, it just felt like such a festive piece to wear out! Next up, I went to Forever 21 and came home with three items – a faux fur red clutch, a pair of gigantic gold girl gang earrings, and this red “in your dreams” beret (which is probably my favorite purchase from this entire haul).

Last but not least… MAKE-UP! I’ve heard so many amazing things about ColourPop for years and with their 20% off sale, I thought why not try it out?! It was so hard narrowing down my shopping cart because I felt like I needed to try everything (wah). I ended up getting the All I See Is Magic Palette, Taurus Lippie Stix, Frick N’ Frack Satin Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick, Get Paid Liner, and Game Face Super Shock Eyeshadow.

Did you participate in Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I’d love to hear what you picked up in the comments below!

In celebration of #smallbusinesssaturday, everything in my shop is 40% OFF ALL WEEKEND!!! Every purchase you make will go towards investing in the creation of new products for the shop in 2018. I have BIG things planned for the New Year… remember that Instagram poll I had a few weeks ago? Well I took your votes into account and have started the long process of designing my very own tees!!! There’s still a long way to go and I’m still learning but I just want you to know that I truly can’t do it without your ongoing support. So if you’ve been eyeing a pin or keychain, now is the best time get your hands on them at a super discounted price. Help keep my dream alive and get yourself a pin or keychain here!

While you’re at it, check out the following small female-owned businesses that I look up to:

The Little Avocado Shop: Hannah is a self-taught fiber artist based in Los Angeles. She carefully hand crafts everything from cute pom pom earrings to custom intricate wedding backdrops. If you have something particular in mind, feel free to reach out to her and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Dazey LA: If you don’t know Dazey LA, we need to change that (though, I’m sure you already have). Danielle, the boss babe behind this female empowering t-shirt company, hand draws each product with love! She’s also strongly encourages slow fashion and her work pushes to inspire women everywhere to take the risk and follow their own dreams.
Umo Style: I’ve been a huge fan of Karen’s Youtube videos for years and she recently launched her own clothing line this past year! She has an incredibly eye for design, story-telling, and (obviously) quirky fashion so it’s not surprise that her new pieces are a perfect reflection of that.
Dolkii: Sisters, Shaiyanne and Yasmine are LA based designers that create otherworldly clothing pieces with the Aloha spirit in mind! Their products encourage positivity, love, and being a free-spirit – qualities I think everyone needs a little reminder to spread!
Valley Cruise Press: Best known for their wide array of — accessories,
Big Bud Press: Their bright and bold accessories basically cover every single color of the rainbow! (I’m obsessed) They carry a wide range of cute backpacks, pins, tees, and more that will add a bit of sunshine to your life. They also just launched their first store front in Echo Park, Los Angeles so be sure to drop by if you’re near the area.
Daisy Natives: If you’re looking for a tee with a witty phrase about confetti, cocktails, or female empowerment, then look no further!

A few others you should also keep your eyes on: Little Arrow Shop, Lulu Bloo, Cherry And Mint, Virginie Millefiori Jewelry, Tees and Tank You, and Joanna Behar. I hope you choose to #shopsmall this Saturday (and all year round) by supporting fellow independent artists and hustling entrepreneurs in your community!

Ever since I launched my new flair collection last week, I’ve been incorporating them into my outfits as much as possible! I’ve also had a few people ask me how they can style their pins so I thought I’d start sharing a few of my favorite ways to show them off – starting with DENIM! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like wearing a good ol’ classic denim jacket and adding personal embellishments like pins, patches, or embroidery can give it a unique touch. It’s also a great way to spice up an otherwise boring outfit and if you’re someone that likes your outfit to speak for itself, something as simple as a pin can instantly express how you feel at the moment. Since I found this particular denim jacket tucked in the back of my mom’s closet one weekend, I felt like adding pins really added to it’s vintage roots. You could go a simpler route by pinning your collars or go even crazier by filling up the entire front/back of the jacket!

I also played around with the idea of adding pins to the waistband of my denim jeans, which actually ended up looking super cute! I pretty much only wear high waisted jeans with a t-shirt tucked in so I think a small touch like this really draws someone’s attention similar to how a flashy belt would.

If you’re interested in any of the flair styled above, make sure to check out my entire collection here.

Whats your favorite way to show off your pins? Share in the comments below!

It’s been a few days since AJ and I returned from our trip to South Korea and I finally managed to tackle my whole post luggage situation (which is probably my least favorite thing about traveling). I was on a slightly tight budget so I limited myself to buying only a few things here and there but I’m happy with everything that I did end up bringing home with me.

Starting with jewelry, I ended up picking up a few statement earrings to jazz up my outfits. Ever since I saw Iamkareno rock cherry shaped earrings in her videos, I’ve been on a crazy hunt for similar ones so when I saw a pair at Chuu (located in Hongdae), I definitely could not pass them up! Next up, I found some oversized pearl heart shaped earrings from Style Nanda, which I feel are so unique and feminine! Lastly, after doing some late night shopping at the underground Gangnam Station, I stumbled upon these dainty gold star earrings (fyi: if you’re ever in this district, check this place out for amazing deals!) Throughout my trip, I also came across so many cute little shops selling eccentric little accessories so rest assured, I scored a ton of different pins and patches (more pictured than above).

Moving on to clothing, I got a BUNCH of graphic tees (because clearly, I don’t own enough ha). The strawberry milk tee above is from Chuu and again, I’ve been on the hunt for a classic red ringer shirt for quite awhile. On our last night, AJ and I decided to check out Common Ground (a huge shopping plaza made entirely of shipping containers) and this orange oversized weirdo tee instantly caught my eye. Not only is it vibrant, but the words just spoke to me (embrace your inner weirdness ya’ll!) There were also a few things that aren’t pictured that I also purchased such as this blue legalize dreams tee by style nanda, a red new york sweater, and a handful of cute socks!

While in Jeju, AJ and I visited the Ossuluc Green Tea Museum, which included an Innis Free store. I ended up picking up a green tea cleansing water since I ran out of remover recently. I haven’t gotten the chance to use it yet but it has a super refreshing scent! I totally wish I got more skincare related items but I guess that just means I’m due for another visit soon? While I was at Style Nanda, I also got 3CE’s longwear eye crayon in the shade juggling (a beautiful shimmery golden brown with subtle orange tones) along with a lip lacquer in the shade dessert flower (a sultry dark plum).

I hope you enjoyed this little haul of mine! Let me know which of these items are your favorite in the comments below!

I’m heading to Korea tomorrow and in the midst of packing, I thought I’d share a few essentials from my Summer skincare routine. I don’t plan on bringing too many items since Seoul is the number one hub spot for skincare (be prepared for a huge haul when I get back). For now, here are the items I plan to bring along with me on my trip!

Ole Henricksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser: I’ve always been a huge fan of Ole Henricksen products so when they gifted me their newest product, I had no doubt it would be amazing! It came at the perfect time, too because I just exhausted my entire bottle of Garnier’s Micellar Water (which has been my holy grail make-up remover for months). After a week or so of using this product, I would definitely put this on the top of my list! It instantly removes all the gunk off my face and really soothes my skin with it’s cold creamy texture.

Authority Moisturizer (Day and Night): These are probably my absolute favorite moisturizers at the moment! I always apply this in the morning before applying make-up and at night after cleansing my face. There is a slight ointment smell to it but you get used to it. Overall, it doesn’t feel sticky after application, provides ultimate hydration, and leaves my skin extra smooth.

Laniege Eye Gel: As I’m approaching the later half of my twenties, I’m making it a point to take better care of my skin – starting with my eyes because this is the area that tends to develop the most wrinkles as we age. This eye gel delivers TONS of water to your lids and leaves them feeling so refreshed. I highly recommend applying this before landing for a boost of wake-me-up brightness!

Cosmos Botanicals Everyday Salve: Like I’ve mentioned before, the cabin air and adjusting to a new environment in general can really dry out my skin. This is essentially a multi-stick that you can use for your face, lips, and body. All you have to do is apply it to any any problem areas you may have, rub in the product, and you’ll find that it really helps seal in much needed moisture. I like to apply this to my lips and hands because I find that these tend to get the most dry when I travel.

What’s your favorite skincare products at the moment? I always love trying and incorporating new ones into my routine so feel free to share in the comments below!
