Ever since I launched my new flair collection last week, I’ve been incorporating them into my outfits as much as possible! I’ve also had a few people ask me how they can style their pins so I thought I’d start sharing a few of my favorite ways to show them off – starting with DENIM! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like wearing a good ol’ classic denim jacket and adding personal embellishments like pins, patches, or embroidery can give it a unique touch. It’s also a great way to spice up an otherwise boring outfit and if you’re someone that likes your outfit to speak for itself, something as simple as a pin can instantly express how you feel at the moment. Since I found this particular denim jacket tucked in the back of my mom’s closet one weekend, I felt like adding pins really added to it’s vintage roots. You could go a simpler route by pinning your collars or go even crazier by filling up the entire front/back of the jacket!

I also played around with the idea of adding pins to the waistband of my denim jeans, which actually ended up looking super cute! I pretty much only wear high waisted jeans with a t-shirt tucked in so I think a small touch like this really draws someone’s attention similar to how a flashy belt would.

If you’re interested in any of the flair styled above, make sure to check out my entire collection here.

It’s been a few days since AJ and I returned from our trip to South Korea and I finally managed to tackle my whole post luggage situation (which is probably my least favorite thing about traveling). I was on a slightly tight budget so I limited myself to buying only a few things here and there but I’m happy with everything that I did end up bringing home with me.

Starting with jewelry, I ended up picking up a few statement earrings to jazz up my outfits. Ever since I saw Iamkareno rock cherry shaped earrings in her videos, I’ve been on a crazy hunt for similar ones so when I saw a pair at Chuu (located in Hongdae), I definitely could not pass them up! Next up, I found some oversized pearl heart shaped earrings from Style Nanda, which I feel are so unique and feminine! Lastly, after doing some late night shopping at the underground Gangnam Station, I stumbled upon these dainty gold star earrings (fyi: if you’re ever in this district, check this place out for amazing deals!) Throughout my trip, I also came across so many cute little shops selling eccentric little accessories so rest assured, I scored a ton of different pins and patches (more pictured than above).

Moving on to clothing, I got a BUNCH of graphic tees (because clearly, I don’t own enough ha). The strawberry milk tee above is from Chuu and again, I’ve been on the hunt for a classic red ringer shirt for quite awhile. On our last night, AJ and I decided to check out Common Ground (a huge shopping plaza made entirely of shipping containers) and this orange oversized weirdo tee instantly caught my eye. Not only is it vibrant, but the words just spoke to me (embrace your inner weirdness ya’ll!) There were also a few things that aren’t pictured that I also purchased such as this blue legalize dreams tee by style nanda, a red new york sweater, and a handful of cute socks!

While in Jeju, AJ and I visited the Ossuluc Green Tea Museum, which included an Innis Free store. I ended up picking up a green tea cleansing water since I ran out of remover recently. I haven’t gotten the chance to use it yet but it has a super refreshing scent! I totally wish I got more skincare related items but I guess that just means I’m due for another visit soon? While I was at Style Nanda, I also got 3CE’s longwear eye crayon in the shade juggling (a beautiful shimmery golden brown with subtle orange tones) along with a lip lacquer in the shade dessert flower (a sultry dark plum).

I hope you enjoyed this little haul of mine! Let me know which of these items are your favorite in the comments below!

With Spring in full bloom, it’s been incredibly nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin and overall, it’s been such an instant mood booster. Winter blues is the real deal, ya’ll! These photos were literally taken by a small bush next to a construction site by my home but we made it work and it turned out looking like I was in some tropical paradise (which I totally wish I were at…). Anyway, I had so much fun shooting this with my sister and while I was editing them, I wanted to create something with a more editorial feel! I hope you enjoy this mini look book and continue reading for more details on my outfit!

I got this denim skirt from Zara during my trip to New York in the beginning of the year but I’ve been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can finally whip it out of my closet! I also found the polka dot top from the pajama section at Nordstrom Rack but it feels much more polished when tucked in! Plus, being the lazy person that I am, this is perfect to roll straight out of bed from (ha).

Dislcaimer: I received this bag from Fossil as a partner. All opinions are honest and my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that keep Sheselle going!

The first weekend of Spring is approaching and the best way to welcome the warmer days ahead is to GO BRIGHT! As someone who’s wardrobe mainly consists of black (this might be surprising to some of you considering how colorful my photos are), I want to make it a goal to incorporate more color into what I wear. Fossil already made it super easy for me to transition into the new season with this bright cobalt bag. Keep reading to find out what five items I’ve got my eye on this Spring…

I. Glossy Everything: I’m seriously so in love with this trend, which I believe gained popularity from Milk Cosmetics. Adding a bit of gloss to your lids, cheeks, and lips really gives you that sun kissed glow that pairs beautifully with the sun! II. Floral Scents: Perfumes with floral notes are perfect for Spring because they’re lightweight and refreshing! My all time favorite is Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb but there are a ton of other perfumes that recently launched that caught my eye! (ie. Miu Miu’s newest perfume, L’Eau Bleue is a lovely combination of lily of the valley and honeysuckle). III. Vibrant Bags: As I mentioned earlier, I’m not one to wear very much color so accessories are a great way to add that pop to any outfit! The one featured above is the Maya Hobo bag by Fossil and is the perfect size to carry all my Spring essentials. Plus, it’s big enough to double as a Picnic Basket!

What are some of your favorite things in the Spring?!

I’ve been obsessed with the classic mid-calf skirt trend lately! I might be late to the party but for the longest time, I avoided wearing them because I was afraid that it may drown me out (FYI: I’m 4’11) and it also felt a bit too fancy for my wardrobe. The one I’m wearing above is high waisted so it creates the illusion of slightly longer legs, though! I also absolutely love the idea of pairing them with a funky graphic tee to dress it down. I decided to toughen it up even more with a leather jacket and buckle boots (All items will be linked at the bottom of this post).

With that, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite mid-calf skirts that I found on the interwebs. I’ve specifically been drawn to sheer and metallic textures!

Do you like this trend? How do you like to wear them?

The weather in the Bay Area has been crazy (I’m probably exaggerating but hey, I’m from California and we’re spoiled with good weather majority of the time). This in combination with what seems to be a never ending cold has made it a struggle to get out of bed and take some decent photos outdoors. Luckily, the sun peaked through a bit earlier today and I managed to look somewhat put together. I also realized I never shared any of the things that I purchased over Holiday break so consider this a long overdue unofficial haul (sort of). I’m wearing a striped long sleeve by Ragged Priest, embroidered rose mom denim jeans from Pull + Bear, and threw on a maroon wool coat from Anthropologie. Comfort was definitely key for a gloomy day like this so everything I wore was pretty much oversized.

What are your plans for the weekend? Let me know in the comments below!

I received a lovely holiday package from Fossil earlier this week and one of the items that was included was this beautiful red leather cross body bag. They come in 6 different colors (this one I believe is in Crimson) and have so many useful compartments to store all your essentials in! It’s only been a few days since this gem arrived on my doorstep but I’ve definitely been incorporating it into my wardrobe as often as I can since then. Being the curious person that I am, I’m always interested in discovering what’s inside someone’s bag. Between the crinkled Taco Bell receipts and loose change, the following are my everyday essentials that I like to carry with me:

  1. iPhone: Does this even need an explanation!?
  2. Ipsy Make-up Bag: I don’t always carry make-up items with me but if I’m attending a special event of some sort, I like to bring whatever lipstick that I’m wearing to touch up throughout the day. Right now, I’m currently loving my Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick in the color, Damned. I also throw in a couple hair ties since the wind is my enemy and static can be incredibly annoying. Lastly, I generally bring my Giorgio Armani Si roller ball perfume to freshen up!
  3. Shop Bando Wallet: I don’t like to carry too many cards all at once and limit myself to carrying 1 credit card, 1 debit card, and my ID so this Shop Bando Passport Cover is perfect just for that.
  4. House Keys: To be honest, I’m the queen of forgetting my house keys and half the time, I’m just hoping my housemates are home to let me in. Attach to them are my
  5. Pen/Paper: I always like to bring these with me so I can jot down any thoughts that I don’t want to forget.
  6. Charger: By the middle of the day, my phone is almost always at 1% and it definitely sucks to be phoneless for the rest of the day.
  7. Mints: You never know who you’ll run into after eating a garlic/onion lunch.
  8. Painkillers: I always try to bring Advil with me in case of any sudden migraine attacks since I tend to get these quite often being in front of the computer all day.
  9. Rayban Sunnies: We all have those days where we don’t want to be bothered.
  10. Frends Layla Headphones: These come in handy during my long commutes to and from the city and since they’re bendable, fit compactly into my bag!

What are your daily essentials in your purse? Let me know in the comments below!
