Valentines Day is weeks away and if you need a little inspiration for your make-up (whether you plan on spending a chill evening indoors with your best gal pals or a romantic dinner out with your SO), I put together a sweet, dewy look that’s perfect for celebrating this love-filled holiday. Before applying any kind of make-up, I can’t stress how important it is to prep your skin! Luckily, Avatara Skin recently released a short collection of specialized masks that focus on specific problem areas such as your lips and under eyes. During the Winter season, the area around my eyes are generally more prone to dry patches and I’ve always had an issue with chapped lips so these babies were incredibly helpful! Plus, it allowed me to do the rest of my make-up simultaneously so this entire look only took about 15 minutes to complete. Keep reading to see how I did this quick and easy make-up look…
- With a freshly washed face, I applied both the Hydrogel Eye and Lip Masks by Avatara Skin. It’s best to leave these on anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes so while waiting, I went ahead and started applying make-up to my eyes. For eye shadow, I used the Colour Pop Cosmetics – All I See Is Magic Palette – generously patting Pitter Patter all over my lids, Tinsel Town on top for a touch of shine, and Now and Zen under the brow bone. Once everything was fully blended, I did my usual cat eye with my holy grail Tattoo Liner by Kat Von D. I didn’t focus too heavily on the brows because I wanted them to look pretty natural so I simply brushed on Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in the color Espresso.
- Once 10 minutes were up, I removed the hydrogel masks from my face and allowed the moisture to soak into my skin for a couple of minutes. In turn, this created an incredibly smooth base for my lipstick and the puffiness under my eyes slightly diminished.
- For my entire face, I applied the Fenty Beauty Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in the color 300, which was super high coverage and dried relatively quickly. Once this was dry, I brightened up my under eye area with Elf’s HD Lifting Concealer in the color Medium. To add bit of color to my face and to coordinate with my eyes, I brushed on Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush in the color Splendor for a touch of soft pink. I then locked everything in with the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.
- Lastly, for my lips, I lightly tapped on Style Nanda 3CE’s Lip Lacquer in the color Desert Flower!
This entire look wouldn’t have been possible without Avatara Skin’s face masks, which provided me with a ton of moisture, smoothness, and brightness right of the bat.
